We Are Back, 4 Weeks Later...
After four weeks away, Oldmate & Josh are back, and we’re returning with an episode that walks straight into the fog between history, horror, and the stories soldiers bring home with them.
Our upcoming episode, “Stephen Lockwood and the Ghosts of War,” dives into the unsettling world of military ghost stories: haunted battlefields, strange wartime sightings, and the lingering question of whether trauma, memory, and death can leave something behind.
War already exists in a space most of us can barely imagine. It is fear, noise, confusion, loyalty, survival, grief, and impossible choices. So when ghost stories emerge from war zones, ruined hospitals, observation posts, and battle-scarred landscapes, they carry a different kind of weight. These are not just campfire tales. They are stories born in places where history has already gone dark.
In this episode, we explore how the supernatural often clings to war stories, not just as horror, but as a way people try to make sense of the unbearable. Are these ghosts literal? Are they memories refusing to fade? Are they the mind’s way of processing what should never have happened in the first place?
And, of course, because it’s Oldmate & Josh, we’ll bring curiosity, comedy, and just enough chaos to stop the whole thing from becoming too grim. Respectful, weird, thoughtful, and occasionally ridiculous, exactly where we like to live.
“Stephen Lockwood and the Ghosts of War” is our first episode back after four weeks away, and it feels like the right one to return with: eerie, fascinating, human, and full of questions that don’t sit neatly in the daylight.
Episode out tomorrow!
